Elengy reports record LNG activities in 2018

French LNG operator Elengy, a unit of the energy giant Engie, reported record activities at its liquefied natural gas terminals during 2018. 

The company said on Tuesday that 215 vessels berthed at its facilities, with 106 TWh of natural gas delivered to the transmission network, a 13 percent jump on 2017 figures.

During the year, the company completed 21 transshipments and 19 reloading operations, with 5,843 truck loading operations. Compared to the previous year, truck loading operations doubled.

Elengy added that 106 vessels berthed at the Montoir-de-Bretagne LNG terminal, completing 52 unloading operations, 11 reloading operations and 21 LNG transshipments.

Out of the 5,843 truck loading operations, 2,370 were completed at Montoir-de-Bretagne. The remaining activity was spread out across its Fos Cavaou and Fos Tonkin LNG terminals.

During the year, Elengy unloaded its 9,600th cargo which represents a total quantity of 300 million cubic meters of LNG from 15 different countries.

Elengy added it has set a new record in December 2018 with the arrival of the 220th different LNG tanker to berth at one of its terminals.
