Trading company Gunvor has emerged as a winner in a tender to supply Pakistan with six liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes in July and August.
Gunvor submitted the most competitive offers for five of the cargoes sought by state-owned company Pakistan LNG while Vitol won one and Trafigura none, according to a commercial evaluation document.
Gunvor placed the best bids for deliveries on July 8-9, 19-20, 29-30, August 8-9 and 13-14 while Vitol secured the August 23-24 delivery slot, Pakistan LNG’s document shows.
All of the offers are oil-linked, expressed as a percentage of Brent in range of 15.9247 percent to 16.9247 percent, respectively.
The cargoes will be delivered on a DES basis to the Port Qasim, where two Pakistan’s LNG receiving facilities are located.
Pakistan LNG expects to officially award the cargoes on July 2.
