Swiss company Winterthur Gas & Diesel (WinGD) has named Klaus Heim as its chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from August 6, 2018.
Heim joins WinGD from OMT in Turin, Italy, where he currently holds the position of chief technical officer.
He has over 25 years of experience in the engine industry, in a variety of senior roles, including vice president technology two-stroke and vice president global research & development at Wärtsilä from 2004 – 2010.
Heim brings technical understanding and managerial expertise to the company WinGD’s statement reads, with his credentials supported by a global network in the marine engine business and his position as president of CIMAC, the International Council on Combustion Engines, which he has chaired since 2016.
WinGD is a developer of two-stroke gas and diesel engines for marine propulsion.
