The UK’s South Hook liquefied natural gas terminal (LNG ) located on the shores of the Milford Haven waterway is scheduled to receive a Qatari cargo next week.
According to the port shipping data, the Nakilat-owned 216,312-cbm Q-Flex carrier Mesaimeer is expected to dock at South Hook terminal’s jetty on November 12.
The vessel is chartered on a long-term deal to world’s largest LNG producer Qatargas.
Gas supply from the South Hook terminal to UK’s grid was about 13.59 mcm/day on Tuesday morning, according to the latest data by National Grid.
Worth mentioning here, the South Hook terminal recently received its first non-Qatari cargo as it is boosting the utilisation of the facility’s import capacity.
The terminal, owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total, can provide around 20 percent of Britain’s natural gas requirements.
