Liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification volumes at Lithuania’s first and only import terminal in the port of Klaipeda continued to decline on a monthly basis.

Klaipėdos Nafta, the LNG terminal operator, on Thursday said that its facility regasified and reloaded 0.70 terawatt hours (TWh) last month, down 28.6 percent as compared to 0.99 TWh last year.

In the January-October period, the LNG terminal’s total throughout was at 7.81 TWh, a drop of 33 percent versus 11.6 Twh in 2017.

Revenues coming from regas and reloading activities from Höegh LNG’s FSRU Independence used as Lithuania’s first import terminal in the port of Klaipeda also declined.

Klaipeda LNG operations gathered 5.4 million euros last month, down 1.8 percent on the year while in the ten-month period the LNG facility earned 53.9 million euros, a drop of 5.9 percent as compared to 2017.
