The Australia Pacific liquefied natural gas (LNG) export plant located on Curtis Island in Queensland will partially shut down for maintenance works in September.

The two-train 9 mtpa liquefaction plant will close half of a train on September 10, one whole unit during September 11 to 13, and one half of a production unit over September 14 to 17, according to a notice submitted to the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO).

Australia Pacific LNG is a joint venture between ConocoPhillips (37.5%), Origin (37.5%) and Sinopec (25%).

Origin is responsible for the operation of the APLNG gas fields and main gas transmission pipeline while ConocoPhillips operates the LNG facility.
