BW LNG, a unit of the Singapore-based gas shipping giant BW Group, said that two liquefied natural gas newbuilds have been named in South Korea.
The two vessels under construction at the South Korean Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) yard, known as H2489 and H2490 have been named BW Pavilion Aranda and BW Magnolia, respectively.
Both vessels have the capacity to transport 174,000 cubic meters and are the third and fourth in a current series of seven newbuildings with MEGI propulsion and state-of-the-art reliquefaction systems, BW LNG in a brief social media statement.
BW Pavilion Aranda will be delivered next week and start operating under a long-term charter to Pavilion.
BW Magnolia will be delivered in December 2019 when it will go on long-term charter to BP, BW LNG said.
