China’s GCL Group Holding is reportedly hiring CNOOC senior officials as it prepares to boost its LNG business.
The company that is developing a liquefied natural gas export project in Djibouti as well as an LNG import facility in China recently hired CNOOC’s former manager of global LNG trading, Ye Yishu, Reuters reports.
He was hired to head GCL’s gas trading as part of operations of its Poly-GCL Petroleum Group.
Citing company officials, Reuters reports that Li Feilong and Wang Jianwen also joined the company.
Li, who was formerly an executive vice president with China Oilfield Services, a CNOOC unit, has been appointed the CFO of Poly-GCL.
Wang, who served as vice president at CNOOC’s gas and power group has been hired to head the company’s development in domestic infrastructure and marketing.
