French liquefied natural gas containment system specialist, GTT has been contracted by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) to design storage tanks for a newbuild LNG carrier.
The vessel is currently under construction at the South Korean shipyard will have the capacity to transport up to 174,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas, GTT said in its statement.
GTT noted that the vessel is being built for the Greek ship-owner Capital Gas Carriers.
GTT will design the tanks of the vessel, which will be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system.
The delivery of the ship is planned during the third quarter of 2021, the company said.
