Lithuanian energy infrastructure provider and LNG terminal operator, KN (Klaipedos Nafta), reported a drop in the liquefied natural gas import facility’s activity during the first three months of the year.
There was only one cargo delivery to the LNG terminal the operator said in its reports adding that six small-scale LNG reloading operations have been carried out.
The total volume of regasified and reloaded LNG for the three months of 2019 comprise 0.74 TWh which compares to 1.10 TWh during the corresponding period of last year.
LNG terminal operation decreased due to the planned maintenance of LNG terminal which continued for a month. During that time LNG regasification has been temporarily stopped, Klaipedos Nafta said.
The facility’s revenue for the first quarter of the year reached €22.98 million ($25.77 million), rising by 36.9 percent, compared to the same period of the year 2018.
The increase in revenue was influenced by additional accounted revenue for the impact of the currency exchange rate, for the higher security supplement, which has been approved by the National Commission for Energy Control and Prices, also for the higher reloading volumes, KN said.
