Singapore-based gas shipping giant BW Group’s liquefied natural gas unit said the BW Integrity FSRU has received the milestone 50th cargo in Pakistan.
The unit operates at the country’s second LNG import facility run by the state-owned Pakistan GasPort.
BW LNG added that the unit has been operating without a single lost time injury (LTI) nor any downtime since it started up on January 4, 2018.
BW’s FSRU BW Integrity has a storage capacity in excess of 170,000 cubic meters and a peak regasification capacity of 750 million standard cubic feet per day.
It is connected to the national gas grid via a 12.3 kilometer subsea and onshore pipeline.
The import facility provides LNG storage and regasification services to the state-owned Pakistan LNG Terminals of up to 600 mmscfd for 15 years.
The terminal’s surplus regas capacity of 90mmscfd is made available to the private sector in collaboration with PGPC’s equity partner Trafigura.
It provides fuel for 3,600 megawatts of power generation plants set up by the government of Pakistan.
