Dutch PitPoint.LNG said it plans to open its first LNG fueling station in the industrial area LAR Menen (Rekkem) in Belgium.
Following four LNG stations in the Netherlands, PitPoint.LNG aims to open the Belgium station in April 2019.
The fueling station, to be located at the existing Total facility and will feature two LNG pumps.
PitPoint.LNG noted in its statement that among the advantages of the facility is the fact that there is no excise duty on LNG in Belgium.
The company has already built and operates more than 130 CNG fueling stations in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany and four LNG fueling stations in the Netherlands.
Once it completes the first LNG fueling station in Belgium the company aims to further expand the network.
