Sapura Energy to work on PFLNG Satu relocation

Sapura Energy, Malaysian oil and gas services and solutions provider secured a contract from Petronas for the relocation and tie-in of the FLNG Satu. 

The company is contracted to undertake engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) works for the relocation and tie-in of the PFLNG Satu, currently located in the Kumang Cluster, offshore Sarawak.

The PFLNG Satu is currently operating at Kanowit gas field and is capable of producing 1.2 million tons of LNG per year.

Petronas expects to have its second floating LNG unit, the PFLNG Dua completed in 2020.

Including the PFLNG Satu contract, Sapura Energy secured contracts worth 760 Malaysian Ringgit ($184.6 million) boosting its total for the financial year to 9.3 billion Malaysian Ringgit.
